I wanted to write what I saw in meditation yesterday...
I was imagining myself as “I”, the ONE. I was imagining how ONE made all of this and I realized it had to start with questions about who I am. I am bliss, peace, stillness, abundance, love, etc. Maybe I asked, “What if I wasn’t this?”
I am still, but what if I moved? What would that look like? Boom! Time is created!
I am here, but what does that mean? I don’t have a position, but what if I did? Boom! Space is created!
I am everywhere, but what if I wasn’t? Boom! Bodies occupying their own space!
I am peace, but what if I wasn’t? Boom! Chaos was created!
I am alone, but what if I wasn’t? Boom! Relationships with others and loneliness when they’re not there! And it went on and on.
I had 2 observations:
The first is that perhaps creation isn’t about dreaming up something or inventing it, but just asking “What if?”. One didn’t know how to dream up what it would look like to have time and space because it didn’t know what that was; it had no concept of what it didn’t know! But the asking brought the creation in response to the question.
The other observation was the comment, “I am alone”. But, is ONE alone? Maybe there is another ONE with its own questions and creations, like ours!! Maybe there are several ONES with their own parts and consciousness, just like ours! A wild idea but I wouldn’t have had it if it weren’t already created. You see? I can’t conceive of what I don’t know.
In the conception, it already exists.
