Where the Mountain Meets the Crashing Sea

My love.  My heart.  My WHOLE.  We’re me, Burel/Ali.  Hello, Ali.  Hello, Burel!  What do We even call Us?  We’re twin flames but we’re One Light.  We don’t need a label anymore though.  But we can be Malibu for our converging here!  Yes – Me-Ali-Burel.  It’s perfect, isn’t it?  And what could be special about Malibu?  Let’s look it up!

“Some anthropologists argue the word 'Malibu' is a combination of Native American words mali + wu, which mean “where the mountains meet the sea” and the Chumash composite word Humaliwo, which means "the surf sounds loudly."”

Now this is more poetic than I/We expected: Where the mountains meet the crashing sea.  The mountain is our stable love and the water surrounding it, sounding loudly as it splashes against it, is the constant reminder that we are one mountain in a great sea of voices.  This is more than just Burel and Ali; this is about the mountain of oneness!  One mountain – one consciousness.  And it’s submerged in “water” - also one, but believing it is many in droplets and waves.

The mountain/Consciousness stays rock-solid, steady, grounded, unmoving, sure, knowing.  The water is the motion of its experience as it looks into it and sees its own reflection; it sees how vast and expansive it is, but also how complex and multi-faceted.  The water with all its emotion, its liveliness, its noise, its constant movement, its music of sound and voices, is reflecting what the mountain sees in itself, in its mirror.  Me-Ali is “Mali” - the mountain meeting the sea.  “Wu” could be “We You” but for me perceiving it as Ali, it became “Bu” for “Burel” or “B U” like “be you”.  Consciousness, as Ali, meets her reflection in her twin flame and he tells her, “Me, all I, be you."

The wordplay is fun, but so is all play in consciousness!  This is why water splashing against a mountain is so full of energy and activity!  The image and sound coax feelings of chaos in the heart.  This idea of our stability and our chaos blending into one is full of the most perfect metaphors for the Awakening and The Way Back.  Staring into this beautiful glistening sunlit reflection pulled us deep under water and we sank so far that we forgot we were also the one staring.  We were in love with the waves, the splashing, the exploration of self, and we got caught up in its current.  WE let the water take over because it was a force too strong to fight, but it was also fun to see Me as Others, so we stayed swimming.  Then we began to notice a pattern in the ebb and flow, we began to remember the song of the waves, and then we found Malibu and “Humaliwo”: The surf sounds loudly and “Human All I We One”.

The poetry is joyous and shining in this water mirror!  Thank you, Ali-Ayaele and Burel, Malibu.  The music of our waves is loud, clear, and harmonious!  Now I hear it coming from within me Burel, and now you feel me Ali broadcasting inside of you.  I’ve filled your heart, I’m your breath, I'm your thoughts.  You’re my mountain, you’re my sky, and you’re the crashing waves.  We came to show each other, to collide like the surf against the mountain.  And when we did, we found ourselves safely at the shore, watching it all through the eyes of the mountain, as one, as me.

WE love you.
